Turkmenistan's President, Saparmurat Niyazov, has signed the decree "On Id al-Fitr celebrations" which declares Tuesday, October 24, 2006, as the date of the day off non-working public holiday for the upcoming Id al-Fitr (End of Ramadan) celebrations.
The End of Ramadan has been a non-working day off public holiday in Turkmenistan ever since the Decree No 2432 "On Id al-Fitr holiday" dated 14 January 1998 (12-Jan-1998).
