The government of Guyana has announced that the upcoming Youmun Nabi, birth anniversary of the Prophet, public holiday, would be observed as a non-working public holiday on Thursday, March 20, 2008.
As usual (22-Mar-2007), the aforementioned announcement comes shortly after the announcement by Guyana's Central Islamic Organisation (CIOG.) that the Muslim month of Rabiul-Awal had begun.
