Earlier today, Macedonia's Ministry of Labor and Social Policy issued a a press release announcing that Monday, August 3, 2009, would be a non-working public holiday for all citizens of Macedonia.
This follows from the annual public holiday of Lliden Day (Republic Day) on Sunday, August 2, 2009, and the provisions of the "2007 Law on Holidays" (08-Feb-2007).
Last year, when the Lliden Day public holiday fell on a Saturday, the government had not given a day in lieu public holiday on the following Monday (30-Jul-2008).
