Russia's President, Dmitry Medvedev, has signed into law amendments to the Federal law On Russia's Days of Military Glory and Commemorative Dates, adding the date of June 29, Day of Partisans and Underground Resistance, to the aforementioned list.

The aforementioned list was last amended in 2007, when June 22, the Day of Memory and Grief and the Day of the Beginning of the Great Patriotic War (1941), and December 9, Heroes of the Fatherland Day, were declared commemorative dates.
