The Government of Armenia, through its Chief of Staff, Davit Sargsyan, has announced the list of 2011 official public holidays in Armenia.
The aforementioned announcement extends to 2011 the practice, begun a couple of years ago (26-Jun-2008), of declaring public holidays for each of the "Commemoration Days of All the Departed" feasts of the lord of Armenian Apostolic Church (01-Apr-2010, 09-Jul-2010, 13-Aug-2010, and 10-Sep-2010).
In addition, recall that late last year (05-Dec-2009), the government of Armenia amended the "Law on Armenian Holidays and Memory Days", adding 7 non-working public holidays, around the time of Christmas.
