Taiwan's Central Personnel Administration has finally published its list of 2011 public holidays, subdivided into: Weekends, Statutory and general national holidays, Particular Parties' Days, and Makeup holidays.
The aformentioned announcement confirms the restauration of Children's Day as an official public holiday as had been announced by Taiwan's Interior Minister, Jiang Yi-huah, last spring (25-Mar-2010 and 24-Feb-2010).
The final and official announcement of the 2011 Taiwanese public holidays comes much later in the year than that of last year (17-Aug-2009), although a draft calendar of 2011 Taiwanese public holidays had been released last summer (31-Aug-2010).
The delay seems to be due to the current review by Taiwan's Legislative Yuan's Judiciary, Organic Laws and Statutes Committee, of the draft bill on public holidays (13-Dec-2010 and 22-May-2010).
