The Kuwaiti Civil Service Commission (CSC) has announced that the upcoming public holiday on account of the Prophet’s Ascension, ministries and government authorities will have a non-working public holiday on Thursday, June 30, 2011, instead of Wednesday, June 29, 2011.
The aforementioned decision by the CSC to postpone the public holiday is a practice that is customary in Kuwait, but which has in the past caused confusion as well as resentment (26-Mar-2008).
