Tunisia's Prime Minister's Office has announced that, despite the recent regime change, the upcoming public holidays of Sunday and Monday, March 20-21, 2011, had been maintained as non-working public holidays.
The Tunisian Premier ministère did, however announce that the list of official public holidays in Tunisia, as per the décret n°1085 de l'année 1995, en date du 19 juin 1995, would soon be modified.
According to the aforementioned announcement, the current annual public holidays of March 21 and November 7 will be removed from the calendar of Tunisian public holiday, beginning in 2012 and 2011, respectively.
These 2 public holidays will be replaced by a new, January 14, "fête de la révolution et de la jeunesse" public holiday as well as the extension of the annual end of Ramadan public holiday for a 3rd consecutive day.
