Ghana's Minister of the Interior, William K. Aboah, has announced that Friday, October 26, 2012, would be a non-working statutory public holiday throughout the country on account of the upcoming Eidul-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice).
In the past, except for last year (26-Aug-2011), Ghana had either declared Muslim public holidays early (25-Sep-2008 and 15-Dec-2007) as do Nigeria and Libya, or on a more middle-of-the-road date that follows the Saudi Arabian announcements (07-Sep-2010, 15-Sep-2009, 03-Dec-2008 and 10-Oct-2007).
