The Indian State of West Bengal is extending its previously-announced public sector holidays for the upcoming Puja holidays so that the state's administration will be on non-working public holidays for 10 consecutive days.
As per the aforementioned government announcement, Friday Octtober 26, 2012, has been added as an additional state non-working public holiday, so that the government's Puja non-working public holidays now extend from the first day of Durja Puja, on October 20, 2012, until and including, October 29, 2012, the date of the upcoming Lakshmi Puja.
