The Government of Rwanda has published the "Arrêté présidentiel no 07/01 du 6 mars 1996 déterminant les jours fériés" which legislates the list of Rwandan non-working public holidays, their date, and how many days each one lasts.

The aforementioned decree abrogates the decree which had hitherto regulated Rwandan non-working public holidays, the "Arrêté présidentiel no 268/6/2 du 30 août 1973 déterminant les jours fériés".
