Cook Islands Public Holidays Amendments Gazetted

The Cook Islands' Prime Minister's Office has announced that the Public Holidays Act 1999 has been gazetted, overhauling the list and observances of non-working public holidays in the Cook Islands.

Most notably, the aforementioned Public Holidays Act 1999, states that when a public holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the holiday is to be observed on the following Monday (with some exceptions), and the rules for consecutive public holidays, such as Christmas and Boxing Day, that fall on a weekend.
