Turkmenistan Declares March 28-30 Public Holidays

Turkmenistan's Cabinet of Ministers, chaired by President Saparmyrat Turkmenbashy Niyazov, has decreed that decreed that March 28-30, 1999, would be public holidays to mark the Eid-ul-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice).

President Niyazov went on to confirm that Navruz-Bayram (the "Islamic spring festival" [sic]), is to be marked on March 21, 1999, as an official public holiday.
