Uganda Declares February 14 Election Day Public Holiday

The government Uganda has declared Thursday, February 14, 2002, a one-off public holiday in order to facilitate the local elections being held that day.

Electoral public holidays are common in Uganda (2001-06-25, 2001-03-09, and 1997-11-05).
