The president of Nauru, Ludwig Scotty, has announced that Friday, July 1, 2005, had once gain been declared a non-working public holiday in Nauru of in commemoration of the anniversary of the take-over of the Phosphate Industry by the Nauru Phosphate Corporation.

According to the announcement contained in the Nauru Government Gazette No.58 (G.N. No. 168/2005), the aforementioned declaration of Friday, July 1, 2005, in commemoration of the anniversary of the take-over of the Phosphate Industry by the Nauru Phosphate Corporation, was signed by the president of Nauru, Ludwig Scotty, and thus amends the previously-released list of 2005 non-working public holidays in Nauru (2004-12-27), as did last year's similar declaration of Thursday, July 1, 2004, in commemoration of the take-over of the Phosphate Industry by the Nauru Phosphate Corporation (2004-09-15) amend the list of 2004 non-working public holidays in Nauru (2004-01-14).
