The Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Sergei Sidorsky, has issued a decree declaring Tuesday, January 2, 2007, as a one-off non-working bridge public holiday in Belarus on account of the upcoming New Year annual non-working public holiday in Belarus.

As usual in similar past cases (2004-04-15, 2003-12-18 and 2003-04-25), in compensation for the Tuesday, January 2, 2007, one-off non-working public holiday, the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of 18.12.2006 No.1677 ("On the transfer of the working day in January 2007") specifies that Saturday, December 30, 2006, will be a regular working day throughout the Republic of Belarus.
