The Government of Gibraltar has confirmed that the Gibraltar May Day/Labour Day public holiday, for 2007, would be moved from May 1st, to Monday, May 7, 2007.

The confirmation follows widespread questions that followed yesterday's (2006-11-09) publication of the "Bank and Public Holidays Order, 2006", which specifies the list of official bank holidays and public holidays in Gibraltar for the calendar year 2007, and listed the May Day Bank Holiday on May 7th, rather than the traditional Gibraltar date of May 1st.
