Brazil's Ministry of Planning has released the official list of 2008 public holidays (feriados nacionais e pontos facultativos).
As has been the case in recent years, the Dia do Servidor Público (Public Servants' Day), which is in principle fixed to the date of October 28, has been moved to Monday, October 27, in 2008, to afford civil servants a long, uninterrupted weekend.
