Panama Vote On Bridge Public Holidays Reform Postponed Until Monday

The Chamber of Deputies has postponed to next Monday, the third and last reading of the bill to move some mid-week fixed-date public holidays to the nearest Monday.

The bill got its 2nd reading yesterday and it had been hoped that the final vote would occur immediately (2007-11-17 and 2007-11-21).

Therefore, the Independence Day public holiday will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 28, this year again.
