Benin Declares May 22 Public Holiday

The government of Benin has declared Thursday, May 22, 2008, as a one-off public holiday.

This one-off public holiday was declared to allow Beninese citizens to pay their last tribute to Cardinal Bernardin Gantin, who died Tuesday in Paris at the age of 86.
