Botswana Declares May 2 Public Holiday

It was announced in the Government Gazette of April 7, 2008, that Botswana's President, Ian Khama, had declared that Friday, May 2, 2008, as a one-off bridge public holiday.

This was done to compensate the fact that 2 public holidays fall on the same date in 2008, namely May 1st and Ascension Day.
