Brazil's Rio De Janeiro State Makes Saint George's Day a State Public Holiday

The State of Rio de Janeiro passed a law making the previously optional municipal holiday of São Jorge (Saint George's Day, April 23) into a full public holiday throughout the State, beginning in 2008.
