Hong Kong 2009 Public Holidays Announced

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government has released its official list of non-working public holidays to be observed in Hong Kong for the upcoming calendar year 2009.

As per the aforementioned announcement, days in lieu are re-stipulated "As the day following the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival in 2009 falls on a Sunday, the day of that festival will be designated as an additional general holiday", as was the case on past occasions (2007-04-13, 2006-04-07, 2005-04-15, 2004-04-02, 2003-04-04, 2002-04-12, 2001-04-20, 2000-05-05 and 1999-05-07).
