Panama's Secretary of State for Communication announced that the upcoming 2008 Labour Day public holiday would be observed on its traditional set date of May 1st.
Recall (2007-12-30) that Panama public holidays, except those of January 9 and November 28, need Presidential approval to be moved to the nearest Monday, if their set fixed date falls in the middle of the week.
