The government of the US Virgin Islands has released its official list of public holidays for the calendar year 2009.

The aforementioned list includes public sector holidays that are not observed by the private sector, but it does confirm the dates of the annual Children's Parade Carnival Day and Adults' Parade Carnival Day granting of administrative leave.

The list also re-states (03-Jan-2008), though in a confusing way, the US Virgin Islands' policy on the granting of day in lieu public holidays when a fixed date public holiday falls on a weekend day.
