Moldova's President, Vladimir Voronin, has dissolved the Legislature, and announced early legislative elections on Wednesday, July 29, 2009, a date which is expected to be declare a one-off public holiday.
Moldova's Electoral commission (CEC) Secretary, Iurie Ciocan, has announced that the aforementioned date should be declared a non-working public holiday in Moldova, as the Moldovan constitution specifies that elections should be held on a non-working day.
