(Posted on Sunday, September 20, 2009)

Oman's Moonsighting Committee announced that the new moon was not sighted anywhere in the country last night, and that therefore today would be the 30th and last day of Ramadan.

This announcement of the specific date of the End of Ramadan does not affect the 5-day Eid public holidays (Saturday, September 19, to Wednesday, September 23, 2009) announced for both the public and private sectors of Oman, earlier this week (17-Sep-2009).
