Last night, the Armenian Head of the Government Staff, David Sargsyan, announced that the Armenian government had declared 2 one-off public holidays, on Monday, September 13, and Monday, September 20, 2010.

The September 13 public holiday is on account of Armenian All Souls' Day, and as was done last year (2009-09-10), in compensation, Saturday, September 18, 2010, will be a regular working day. Note that this is the second year in a row that Armenia declares a "one-off" public holiday on Armenian All Souls' Day.

The September 20 public holiday was declared as a bridge public holiday to the annual, September 21, Independence Day holiday, which falls on a Tuesday in 2010. In compensation for this other one-off public holiday, Saturday, September 11, 2010, will be a regular working day.
