Goa Declares August 28 Public Holiday

The chief minister of India's State of Goa, Digamber Kamat, has announced that this afternoon, as well as tomorrow, Saturday, August 28, 2010, would be observed as state public holidays.

The aforementioned public holiday was declared to honor the memory of the writer Ravindra Kelekar, who died earlier today.
