The government of Honduras has reached an agreement with the private sector's COHEP (Consejo Hondureño de la Empresa Privada) to move the upcoming, Día de las Américas, public holiday from April 14, to April 19, 2010.

The announced change is in line with changes permitted by legislative decree 50-2003 (2003-04-09). It is not the first time that such as change is made (2006-04-04), but it has often led to confusion in previous years (2009-04-14).
