Honduras' Minister of the Interior, Áfrico Madrid, has announced that the government of Honduras has decreed special public sector working hours on June 16, 21 and 25 to allow public servants the time to watch Honduras playing in the 2010 World Cup championship.
Earlier this month (2010-05-13), Honduras' National Congress had approved, by a vote of 36-8, a draft decree (proyecto de decreto) which would move this year's 3 annual October public holidays to the 3 dates when Honduras' national football team is scheduled to play in the upcoming June FIFA World Cup. This idea has apparently been dropped.
