Mauritius Expected To Declare May 5 Public Holiday

Local sources expect the date of the upcoming general elections in Mauritius, Wednesday, May 5, 2010, to be declared a one-off non-working public holiday.

Such a declaration would be in line with the policy followed by the Seychelles (08-May-2007) which is expected to send observers.
