The president of Nauru, Marcus Stephen, in his capacity as Minister for Home Affairs, has declared Monday, March 8, 2010, as a non-working public holiday in Nauru on the occasion of International Women's Day.
According to the announcement contained in the Nauru Government Gazette No.28 (G.N.No. 116 / 2010), the aforementioned declaration of Monday, March 8, 2010, as a non-working public holiday in Nauru, as in past years (2009-03-02), was made "in commemoration of the International Women's Day" and signed by Kieren Keke as Acting President, and thus amends the previously-released list of 2010 non-working public holidays in Nauru (2009-12-30).
