Pakistan's Prime Minister, Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, has approved the dates for the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha public holidays from Wednesday, November 17, until Friday, November 19, 2010.

As per the aforementioned announcement, this applies to both the private and public sectors.

Note that this announcement also restores the public holiday to 3 days, contrary to what was announced when Pakistan's Ministry of Interior, in consultation with Karachi's Meteorological Department, issued the expected dates for public and optional holidays for the calendar year 2010 (2009-12-24).

The Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) Muslim public holiday was 4 days the year before (2009-11-20 and 2008-12-31) and 2 days before 2008 (2006-12-16).
