The Workplace Relations Minister of Australia's State of Tasmania, David O'Byrne, has issues a last-minute, Sunday afternoon, press release clarifying the observance of the Easter Tuesday public holiday in Tasmania.

The aforementioned press release, entitled "Clarification on Tasmanian Public Holidays", re-states the terms of the Statutory Holidays Amendment Bill 2010 which was passed by both houses of the Parliament of Australia's State of Tasmania, last fall (26-Nov-2010), thus amending the previous Statutory Holidays Act 2000.

The Statutory Holidays Amendment Bill 2010 clarifies the observance of Easter Tuesday, which under the new bill would be mainly observed by public servants ("member of a class of persons referred to in section 6 of the Industrial Relations (Commonwealth Powers) Act 2009") and by banks.
