    The government of the Brazilian State of Mato Grosso do Sul has similarly transferred its civil service closure to October 30 through a decree published on October 6, 2026. The measure covers the state executive’s direct administration, autarchies and foundations, with essential services maintained.

    The approved transfers are January 2 to January 13; January 3 to October 1; May 1 to May 3; May 2 to May 4; May 9 to May 10; May 23 to May 24; and August 28 to August 30, 2027.

    The Ministry of Social Welfare and Demographic Policy has also been instructed to submit a proposal establishing the date of Kurban-nykhua at least ten calendar days before the celebration.

    As per the aforementioned document, "Considering the proposals of the Ministry of Interior in Report No. 10033/TTr-BNV dated September 11, 2026 and Report No. 10137/TTr-BNV dated September 14, 2026 regarding the holiday schedule for Vietnamese Culture Day in 2026, Lunar New Year (Year of the Goat) in 2027, and National Day in 2027, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra agrees with the Ministry of Interior's proposal on the holiday schedules: 7 days for Lunar New Year, 4 days for National Day in 2027, and 1 day for Vietnamese Culture Day in 2026.".

    Specifically, the Lunar New Year holiday in 2027 will be from Thursday, February 4th, 2027 (the 28th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Horse) to Wednesday, February 10th, 2027 (the 5th day of the 1st lunar month of the Year of the Goat), and the National Day holiday in 2027 will consist of 4 consecutive days from Thursday, September 2nd, 2027 to Sunday, September 5th, 2027 (including 2 days of the official National Day holiday and 2 regular weekend days).

    Finally, civil servants and public employees will have one day off for Vietnamese Culture Day on November 24, 2026.
