The April 29, 2011, additional public holidays for the upcoming royal wedding has officially been gazetted as per the Public Holidays Order, 2011.

The official text appeared in the Supplement No. 4, published with Gazette No. 3 dated 31st January, 2011.

Late last year (2010-12-21), the Cayman Islands government had announced that Friday, April 29, 2011, the date of the upcoming UK royal wedding, would be a one-off public holiday in the Cayman Islands, and that the new holiday would officially become part of the schedule of 2011 public holidays when a Public Holidays Order is issued next year, in accordance with the "Public Holidays Law (2007 Revision)" (2007-06-19).

Currently, the UK (2010-11-23), Scotland (2010-11-24), the Cayman Islands (2010-12-21), the Isle of Man (2011-01-10), Gibraltar (2011-01-06), Guernsey and Alderney (2011-01-26), and Jersey (2011-01-20), have officially announced that Friday, April 29, 2011, would be a one-off public holiday.

Meanwhile, the Falkland Islands (2010-12-04) and the Turks and Caicos (2010-12-21), have also indicated that they are currently considering declaring Friday, April 29, 2011, as a one-off public holiday, but have, as of yet, not made any official announcement.
