The Governor of Guam, Eddie Calvo, has declared Friday, November 25, 2011, the day after the upcoming Thanksgiving, as a GovGuam public sector holiday.
As per the aforementioned EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 2011-14, issued by Governor Calvo, this additional GovGuam public sector holiday was granted for public servants to "Rest, take a break and re-energize" after a difficult year marked by "suspension of pay raises and increments".
