The States of Jersey (the government of Jersey) has officially listed Friday, April 29, 2011, as a one-off public holiday on account of the upcoming Royal Wedding.

This follows the informal announcement, earlier this year (2011-01-20), by Jersey's Chief Minister, Terry Le Sueur, that the States of Jersey had finally (2011-01-14) agreed to make Friday, April 29, 2011, the day of the upcoming Royal wedding, a one-off public holiday in Jersey.

Currently, the UK (2010-11-23), Scotland (2010-11-24), the Cayman Islands (2011-02-01), the Isle of Man (2011-01-10), Gibraltar (2011-01-06), Guernsey and Alderney (2011-01-26), Jersey (2011-01-20), the Falkland Islands (2011-02-02), and the Turks and Caicos (2011-02-27), have officially announced that Friday, April 29, 2011, would be a one-off public holiday.
