The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has declared a 4-day period of bank holidays, from Wednesday, August 31, until Satuday, September 3, 2011, on the occasions of Eid-ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holidays recently declared by the Government of Pakistan.

The details of the aforementioned announcement are contained in a press communiqué from the State Bank of Pakistan, released last night.

Yesterday (25-Aug-2011), Pakistan's Prime Minister, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, has approved the extension of the previously declared (03-Jan-2011) upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holidays to include Saturday, September 3, 2011.
