Peru Declares February 7 Regional Public Holiday

The governor of Peru's Province of Puno, Víctor Urviola Garrido, has signed and released a decree declaring Monday, February 7, 2011, as a regional non-working public holiday in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Candelaria.

The aforementioned "Resolución de Gobernación Nº 55-2011-1502/P-PUNO" applies to the Province of Puno, as was done last year also (2010-02-05).
