Romanian 2012 Public Holidays Announced

The Government of Romania has released the official list of 2012 non-working public holidays in Romania (zile libere si sarbatorile oficiale).

Most of the 2012 official non-working public holidays listed in the aforementioned announcement could be foretold from the current Romanian Labour Code.

Specifically, the announcement confirms the addition, 3 years ago, of 3 new annual public holidays; Pentecost Sunday and Monday (18-Mar-2008), and the Dormition of the Holy Mary (09-Oct-2008).

The announcement, however, is useful in what it does not contain, namely any of the dates of new annual public holidays that are currently making their way (or stagnating) through Romania's Parliament (07-Jun-2011, 22-Mar-2011 and 12-Mar-2011).
