Russia Declares Regional Lunar New Year Public Holiday

The governments of the Russian Republics of Tuva and Buryatia have declared a public holiday on Thursday, February 3, 2011, on account of the upcoming Lunar New Year (aka. Chinese New Year).
The regional declaration of religious or ethnic public holidays is common in Russia (2010-11-12 and 2009-11-25).
