The list of official public sector holidays in Venezuela has been gazetted for the calendar year 2011.

As per custom (2010-01-05, 2009-01-06, 2008-01-08 and 2007-01-18), the aforementioned Venezuelan list of official public sector holidays ("días no laborales para los funcionarios de la Administración Pública Nacional, durante el año 2011") includes the Monday and Tuesday of Carnival, which is not a non-working public holiday in the private sector.

The Carnival public sector holidays are the only holidays that the public sector gets in common with banks, which have a plethora of additional bank holidays (2010-12-05).
