The Office of the Governor of American Samoa, has declared Monday, July 16, 2012, as a non-working public holiday for government employees, on account of the upcoming Manu'a Cession Day.
American Samoa government offices are usually closed on the occasion of Manu'a Cession Day, and on some years the date is declared a full public holiday (2008-07-14), although in normal years shops and businesses are open on July 16.
