The Armenian Government has announced that it had declared Monday, April 9, 2012, as a non-working public holiday in Armenia on account of the upcoming Easter Monday.

Four years ago (2008-06-26), the Armenian Government began the practice of systematically declaring public holidays for each of the "Commemoration Days of All the Departed" feasts of the lord of Armenian Apostolic Church (2010-04-01, 2010-07-09, 2010-08-13, and 2010-09-10).

Then, after a couple of years of one-off declarations, the Armenian Government decided to declare all 4 "Commemoration Days" ahead of time when it announced the official list of 2011 non working public holidays in Armenia (2010-12-16).

However, until today, no similar announcement had been made concerning the 2012 "Commemoration Days of All the Departed".
