Egyptian Bank Holiday July 1st

Egypt's Central Bank has announced that all Egyptian banks would be closed on Sunday, July 1st, 2012, which has been declared a bank holiday in Egypt due to the beginning of the new Egyptian Fiscal Year.

The declaration of a one-off bank holiday by the Central Bank of Egypt is common in Egypt (2012-01-29, 2012-01-04, 2011-11-24, 2011-07-20 and 2011-01-05).

In related news, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has announced that Sunday, July 1st, 2012, had been declared an FX holiday and that the EGX would resume trading on Monday, July 2, 2012.
