Ghana's Minister of the Interior, William K. Aboah, has announced that President John Evans Atta Mills had, by Executive Instrument, declared Monday, July 2, 2012, as a non-working statutory public holiday in Ghana.
The aforementioned announcement was made "in view of the fact that July 1, the Republic Day, falls on a Sunday" and is in line with the list of official 2012 non-working public holidays in Ghana, announced earlier this year (2012-01-25).
