The Government of Gibraltar has issued the "Bank And Public Holidays Order 2012" (Ln. 2012/146) which specifies the bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Gibraltar for the upcoming calendar year 2013.
The aforementioned legislation which sets forth the bank holidays and public holidays for Gibraltar in the calendar year 2013, confirms the changes to the rules concerning the Labour Day public holiday (2012-03-03) as well as the new annual non-working public holiday, "Workers Memorial Day" (2012-01-05).
However, in the latter case, the "Bank And Public Holidays Order 2012" contains a surprise as it lists Friday, April 26, 2013, as the date of the "Workers Memorial Day", despite the fact that, at the time of its announcement by Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, it was supposed to be "based on April 28, with a corresponding bank holiday on the nearest Monday".
