The President of Liberia, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, has issued a proclamation declaring Saturday, February 11th, 2012, as Armed Forces Day, a non-working public holiday to be observed throughout the country as a national holiday.
As per custom on these last-minute re-confirmations of annual public holidays (2011-11-26, 2011-11-01, 2011-04-06, 2010-11-03, 2010-07-23 and 2010-04-08), the Foreign Ministry release states that "the Proclamation orders all Government Offices, Public and Business Houses be closed in observance of the day".
